The Therapeutic Enrolment Process

Upon enrolment, each pupil at Hopewell School undergoes a comprehensive therapeutic induction process, which is closely aligned with their SEMH needs and additional learning requirements as outlined in their EHCP. This process begins with a psychological assessment conducted by our Head of Therapy, Rachel Ashitey, and a Child Psychotherapist, in collaboration with the parents or carers and the child.

The assessment provides deep insights into the child’s emotional, social, and educational needs, which are then used to create a personalised therapeutic plan. This plan outlines the specific therapies and interventions that will best support the child’s development and is regularly reviewed to ensure it continues to meet the student’s evolving needs.
