Admissions at Hopewell School

Hopewell School welcomes young people who have struggled in mainstream or specialist settings due to emotional and behavioural challenges. We provide a nurturing, structured environment for students with Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans, helping them regain confidence and achieve success.  

Who We Support!

We accept students from several local authorities, including LBBD, Havering, Essex, Thurrock, Redbridge, Newham, and Hackney, based on:

  • Availability of space
  • An EHC Plan or Statement of Special Educational Needs
  • Support from the referring local authority
  • Active participation from parents or carers
  • A shared belief that Hopewell is the right place for the child

Referral Process

Referrals are typically made by the Education or Social Services Department. Parents are encouraged to visit before submitting documents.  

To be considered, we require:  

  • EHC Plan recognising Special Educational Needs
  • Recent Educational Psychologist report
  • Current academic attainment levels
  • Most recent school report
  • Social history and any relevant Social Services involvement
  • Medical information and specific support needs
  • Details of behavioral patterns
