At Hopewell School, we are committed to the holistic development and empowerment of children and young people with EHCPs, those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional learning challenges. Through tailored education, expert therapy, and state-of-the-art facilities, our dedicated team of therapists works closely with students and their families to provide personalised support, helping every child reach their full potential.
We believe in restoring hope, releasing potential, and rebuilding lives. These 3Rs form the basis of our belief that personal development is achieved through a multifaceted approach, where academic attainment is a very important dimension of their learning and development but not the only one.
Many of our pupils join Hopewell School after multiple failed placements, and our first step is to restore their hope. We do this by recognising and responding to their complex needs—academic, therapeutic, vocational, and personal. By nurturing their strengths, we help them gain the confidence and skills needed to shape brighter futures for themselves, ultimately restoring hope for them and their families.Â
Building strong relationships with parents and the wider community is a key focus here at Hopewell. By increasing communication and collaborative support between students, parents, and staff, we ensure your child’s well-being and success.
We prioritise adaptive teaching by implementing strategies focused on cognitive development and metacognition. We have developed a personalised curriculum designed to meet diverse learning needs.
Our approach to provision mapping and intervention has been refined, ensuring that resources are used effectively to support every child's progress.
